Gannon Named Player of the Month
Quarterback RICH GANNON of the Oakland Raiders is the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November, the NFL announced today.
Gannon completed 87 of 130 attempts (66.9 percent) for 1,031 yards with 12 touchdowns and one interception for a league-high 118.5 passer rating as the Raiders went 3-1 in November. He tied for the league-most with 12 scoring passes in the month (San Francisco’s JEFF GARCIA).Gannon also completed 20 of 29 third-down passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns for a 133.7 third-down passer rating.).

In the Raiders’ 38-28 Monday night victory over Denver on November 5, Gannon completed a personal season-best 75.8 percent of his passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns. He threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns in the Raiders’ 34-24 win over San Diego on November 18. Gannon concluded the month on November 25 with a 221-yard, three-touchdown effort (personal season-high 141.9 passer rating) in a 28-10 victory against the New York Giants. He leads the NFL with a 104.0 passer rating.
In his 14th year from Delaware, this is Gannon’s first Player of the Month Award.
