The NFL named Ravens’ DE Adalius Thomas AFC Defensive Player of the Week today for his outstanding play in the Ravens’ 39-27 win over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. Thomas, in only his second NFL start, recorded eight tackles (five solo), 1.5 QB sacks for 29.5 yards (second in team history), forced two fumbles and batted two passes. The Ravens

   

converted both of Thomas’ forced fumbles into field goals on successive Indianapolis possessions in the second quarter. Adalius also had two assisted tackles on kickoff coverage. Thomas is tied with Corey Harris for the Ravens’ lead with three forced fumbles, and leads the team with 13 special teams’ tackles.
